Upgraded Impinj R700 Revision 2 (R700v2) is specifically designed to power next-generation autonomous RFID reading solutions by combining best-in-class tag readability with significantly enhanced edge intelligence.

Key Upgrades in R700 Revision 2 (R700v2):

Processing Power: Dual-core 1 GHz 64-bit ARM A53 processor — 2x the processing power of the original R700.
Memory: Expanded on-reader memory, up to 3x more for customer applications (e.g., 768 MB Customer Application Partition).
Operating System: 64-bit Linux 6.6 (more modern and capable than previous versions).
RFID Performance (unchanged from original R700 for compatibility):
Up to 1,100–1,300+ tags per second.
Excellent receive sensitivity (around -92 to -93 dBm).
Transmit power up to +33 dBm (with PoE+).
4 antenna ports (expandable to 32 with hubs).

R700v2 requires PoE+ (802.3at) and firmware 10.0 or newer. It maintains the same compact form factor, mechanical design, and RF performance as R700v1 for easy drop-in upgrades.
